Aviation Information
Craig Field Airport offers 24/7 airfield service from the FBO, Selma Air Center, fully instrumented ILS, VOR, GPS and NDB approaches provided by the Atlanta Center and Montgomery Approach, an Aviation Weather Observation System, tie-downs, shade hangars and overnight hangars, and a pilots lounge. In 2005, ten new hangars were built to accommodate larger aircraft, in addition to the completion of a new perimeter fencing system.
With its 8,002 ft. runway, Craig Airport is able to land planes as large as 747/777 and
C-130. The airport also has its own on-site fire department with crash and rescue capabilities. For more detailed information on Airport Operations click here.
Craig also has a full complement of facilities for aircraft MRO operations available, with over 145,000 square feet of floor space across 7 hangars. We are currently undertaking a major renovation project on two maintenance hangars, totaling approximately $3 million dollars. Once completed, these will be modern, state of the art facilities available for any turn-key maintenance operation.
